Upon arrival, our representative will meet and assist you, transfer by AC private car to Giza’s historic Mena House, a palatial five star hotel set amid 40 acres of magnificent gardens, with breath-taking views of the adjacent Great Pyramid of Khufu.
On the second day of our journey, we will start with a delightful breakfast on the terrace of Mena House, offering a stunning view of the Giza Plateau. Our day will begin with a walk along the path of the Ancients, passing by the majestic Giza pyramids - Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Throughout the day, we will immerse ourselves in lectures on Egyptology and behold the enigmatic Great Sphinx.
For lunch, we will dine at Zyara Restaurant, located on the rooftop overlooking the iconic pyramids of Giza. Following this culinary experience, we will visit the largest museum in the world, the magnificent Grand Egyptian Museum, where we will marvel at its impressive artifacts and exhibitions.
In the evening, we will return to Mena House for a leisurely dinner, allowing us to unwind and prepare for our departure the next day.
Following another delightful breakfast, we will explore the remarkable necropolis at Saqqara. Venture into the intriguing underground chambers of the Serapeum and delve into the heart of the Step Pyramid of Djoser, which has recently been opened to the public after a 50-year renovation project. We will then enjoy lunch at the Blue Lotus Guesthouse, known locally for its exceptional homemade cuisine, where we can relax and take in the scent of lotus blossoms. Afterwards, we will take a leisurely walk by the fields of Saqqara, where the fertile black and red lands of ancient Egypt converge.
Following breakfast, we’ll depart Mena House and the Giza Plateau to transfer to the airport for a first-class flight to Luxor.
Upon arrival, we will explore the vast temple complex of Karnak. Dedicated to the creator deity Amun, it was built over the course of two thousand years. Our visit will include time in the sanctuary of Khonsu, divine child of Amun and Mut, the Theban trinity. Afterwards we will embark on our Nile cruise Historia and take our lunch on board and rest a little bit.
In the afternoon, we take a walking tour of the magnificent Luxor Temple, which at dusk becomes illuminated to striking effect. Afterwards we will have an opportunity to visit one of the finest showrooms of gold and silver in all of Upper Egypt, before returning to the Boat to take a sumptuous dinner.
After breakfast, explore the West Bank, land of the setting sun and Amenti, the Hidden Place. It is here that the ancients communed with the forces beyond the physical realm. Enter into the tombs of pharaohs in the Valleys of the Kings including the legendary tomb of Tutankhamen, where the young pharaoh’s body is still perfectly preserved and resting. Visit Pharaohess Hatshepsut’s stunning rock-cut mortuary complex with its special sanctuary dedicated to goddess Hathor and the third story terrace sanctuary of Amun with its beautifully preserved painted bas reliefs. Marvel at the ancient colossi of Memnon, massive double stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned during the Eighteenth Dynasty.
Afterwords, we’ll visit a traditional alabaster workshop before returning to the Boat to take our lunch and rest while we’re sailing to Edfu. Dinner will be on board.
Breakfast on board your Nile cruise. Then your tour guide will take you on a mysterious journey to the land of secrets. This guided tour of today begins by visiting one of the most wonderful temples in Egypt, Temple of Horus in Edfu, which is considered to be one of the most well preserved temples in Egypt. After that, you will revert back to your ship. Lunch will be served on board during sailing to the city of Kom Ombo.
Afternoon, you will proceed to explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, where the two gods Sobek & Haroeris were worshiped for a while. Get back to your ship and enjoy your lunch.
Enjoy the sun deck, watching the unique landscape of the great river Nile. On its banks the ancient Egyptian civilization has been created and flourished. Dinner meals will be served on board during sailing to the city of Aswan. Late evening arrival to Aswan overnight.
Breakfast will be served on board your ship. Later on, you will join your Egyptologist tour guide to discover the great city of Aswan, including The High Dam , which was erected by the Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 AD to protect Egypt from the Nile flood. After that you will see the unfinished Obelisk, which was made out of red granite and was dedicated to god Amun Ra.
Afterwards, we will set out on a short boat ride to the glistening island jewel of Philae for a visit to the Temple of Isis, regarded by many as the most beautiful temple in Egypt. After finishing your day tour, you will get back to your ship. Lunch will be served on board. Afternoon tea will be served on board. Dinner on board.
After breakfast, we will be transferred to the Aswan airport for a flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, immerse ourselves in the enchanting glow of ancient Cairo, constructed in 895 A.D. We will savor a delightful lunch at Zeeyara restaurant before proceeding to check-in at Le Meridien for some well deserved rest until the evening.
Transfer to Cairo airport to catch a flight to Amman, Jordan.
Upon arrival at Amman Airport, our airport representative will meet you and assist you through customs and formalities. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Today, embark on a scenic drive along the King’s Highway to visit Madaba, known as the City of Mosaics. Explore Saint George’s Church, home to the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Land, as well as other famous mosaics in public and private buildings. Visit Mount Nebo, the reputed burial site of Moses, which offers panoramic views of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Proceed to Kerak for a photo stop before visiting Shobak Castle, an ancient fortification built in 1115. Enjoy dinner and overnight at a hotel in Petra.
After breakfast, immerse yourself in a full-day exploration of Petra, a city carved into the rose-red Sharah Mountains by the Nabateans. Discover iconic landmarks such as the Treasury, the Roman Theater, the Courts, Qasr Bint Pharaoun, and the Temple of the Winged Lion. Traverse the narrow Siq, a winding canyon between cliffs, to uncover the rich history and breathtaking monuments of Petra. Return to your hotel in Petra for dinner and overnight stay.
Begin the day with a short drive to Little Petra, where you will explore ancient stone-age villages and biblical Edomite settlements. Visit the Roman legionary fortress at Udruh before continuing to Wadi Rum, made famous by the movie “Lawrence of Arabia.” Enjoy a 2-hour Jeep tour of the desert landscape before driving back to Amman via the desert highway for dinner and overnight stay.
Sadly today is the last day of your trip! After breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to Amman Airport for your departure, with assistance from our airport representatives through customs and formalities.
